UN/DOING FUTURE, UNSETTLING TEMPORALIZATION

The concept of the future, its prognostications and applications increasingly shapes present social worlds. From government policy to architectural design, from preemptive everyday practices interventionist counter-cultural projects, imaginations future take concrete form enjoy a powerful purpose. In this intervention we ask: How is invented, planned, renounced researched? Specifically, how do analyse entanglement temporal spatial logics against enveloping imperative ‘future as crisis’? What role methodology, collaboration engagement in shaping debates about research different futures well positionalities within future? Rather than taking prescriptive approach, consider epistemologies ways which multiple notions futurity might overlap. Additionally, standpoint are imagined or renounced, entanglements past, reflect struggle on fields. Finally, complicate some distinctions that researchers draw between imagining, planning producing scenarios exclusionary, modes navigating embedded lives.
